Electrical Stimulation

Enhance the therapeutic effects of acupuncture through gentle electrical stimulation that supports circulation, muscle relaxation, and pain relief.

What is electrical stimulation?

Electrical stimulation, often called electro-acupuncture, is a technique that applies a mild electrical current to acupuncture needles to enhance the effects of treatment. The gentle stimulation helps activate the acupuncture points more consistently while supporting circulation and nerve signaling in the surrounding tissues. This method is commonly used to relieve chronic pain, reduce inflammation, relax tight muscles, and support recovery from injury. Many patients find electro-acupuncture especially helpful for conditions such as back pain, joint discomfort, and nerve-related issues. The sensation is typically mild and rhythmic, helping the body relax while encouraging the natural healing processes activated through acupuncture.

“I came to Healing Points after suffering from sciatic nerve pain for two weeks. After ER visits, MRIs, pain medication, and seeing a pain specialist, it was after my very first session with Dr. Gigi that I experienced the most relief. My real progress began with acupuncture, and now I’m a believer.

BTW—you’ll love Dr. Gigi! You can tell she truly loves what she does and genuinely cares about helping her patients.”
